Magnetic MagSafe® Compatible Car Mount 15W Charging – Black

This is for newer iPhones that have MagSafe charging capabilities. They also might work with other phones (Android) that support magnetic Qi wireless charging as well. The magnet is strong and holds up well. I own 2 of them and paired them with 15W car charging USB charger plugs and have zero issues.

If you don't pair these with the correct iPhones (The back of the iPhone will be marked similarly with the circle and dash just like this charger.) and a 10-15W USB car charger plug then you won't have good results. This is a fault of the charging plug you are using (Not the USB cable, Not the wireless charger itself, The piece that plugs into the cigarette lighter). If you plug this into the data USB port in your car then you'll have bad results. Sure it's USB but it's not designed for high wattage charging, it's just designed to allow your phone to connect with your radio/vehicle. A MagSafe capable iPhone have magnets built into the phone itself so if you have a non-MagSafe capable case then it won't work correctly. Those are alignment magnets for maximizing charging and minimizing heat buildup. Those alignment magnets only work when they are used specifically with the bare phone NOT in a case. You can purchase and use MagSafe capable cases but they have to be specifically capable of that. If you don't have a MagSafe capable phone or case then it's not going to work. Please understand that if you purchase this charger and it doesn't work with your device due to the previous reasons I stated then it's your issue and not an issue with the charger. Ghost touches on your device? It's likely because you're not using a MagSafe capable case and so the alignment magnets aren't working causing the magnets to then create issues with the touch screen instead.

And those saying it doesn't charge just keeps it steady that's because you're using a low power charging plug which is not this device's intended use. This is designed to be used with a 10-15W USB car charging accessory. All I can say is please educate yourself regarding the devices you own and how the technology works instead of being ignorant and blaming the designer regarding how it's supposed to be used. Ignorance is bliss but only when you keep it to yourself.

This "wireless charger" is terrible. It takes about a dozen (or more) attempts to find a "sweet spot" where it will actually charge, and then my device has consistent ghost touches while charging. It would appear quality control was on vacation when this was approved for release to consumers. The product should be recalled and all purchased units replaced/refunded, but that would be a GOOD business decision, therefore no company would actually do it as the consumers might falsely assume they care about QUALITY.

The magnetic does not work on the iPhones.

For the price you would assume the magnet would be decent but nope it's absolutely awful. Purchased because on box it has a iPhone on it so I'm a driver and I use an iPhone for my work phone and the damn thing just wouldn't stay on at all. Thought dang maybe it dont work with that phone so used my Samsung galaxy and nope didny work either. I will add I removed phone case from both phones and still zip. Don't recommend at all.
